Project Cost $3,754,900 – Project under budget; Size: 17,729 ft2
Developed the initial MEP plan and phasing strategy and provided HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection engineering services and related work for an 8,515 square-foot addition and comprehensive renovations of the existing school.The new HVAC system for the school meets current ASHRAE 62 and West Virginia Department of Education, Policy 6200 requirements.The HVAC system was through packaged roof mounted VAV air handling units.ZDS designed comprehensive DDC controls with remote monitoring, humidity and CO2 controls including DDC centralized monitoring.The facility also qualified for EPAct for energy efficient lighting using over 50% less energy.The project was completed under budget and ahead of schedule while allowing for additional county needs to be included into the project.
